Parenting is sacred...and stretching. And when you’re trying to follow Jesus while unlearning old patterns and building new ones, it can feel especially lonely.
That’s why we created The Flourishing Family Study Guide.
This six-week guide was made for parents who are ready to root their parenting in the way of Jesus - drawing from both Scripture and the science of child development. Whether you're reading The Flourishing Family for the first time or you've already dog-eared your favorite pages, the study guide will help you reflect more deeply and apply it to your everyday life.
If you’ve been curious about how it works, you’re not alone! Here are a few questions we’ve been asked:
Is this study for a group or for individual use?
Both! - Our hope is that this study creates space for Jesus-centered parents to connect deeply - sharing faith, navigating parenting, and supporting each other in the everyday rhythms of life. It’s designed with small groups in mind - think church Bible studies, book clubs, or parenting groups - but it's also deeply meaningful as a personal study for anyone walking this path.
Are there videos that go along with the study?
Yes! We partnered with Tyndale to create a companion video series that walks through each week of the guide. It’s available for purchase here. While the teaching videos add depth and insight, they are not necessary to meaningfully engage with The Flourishing Family Study Guide.
Can I do the study without reading the book?
The study guide was designed to complement The Flourishing Family, so reading the book alongside it will give you the fullest experience. However, if you’re already familiar with our work and are a reflective learner, the study guide can stand alone in the right context.
Is there a leader's manual?
Yes! A Leader’s Guide is included in the back of The Flourishing Family study guide. It offers a sample meeting structure, a suggested schedule, and helpful tips and guidelines for facilitating meaningful group discussions.
You’ll also find a letter to pastors, encouraging them to support thoughtful, Scripture-based conversations about parenting within their church communities so that parents can grow together in wisdom, rather than feeling like they have to piece it together alone with the wisdom of an 60 second video.
Whether you’re gathering with a group of parents or carving out quiet moments for yourself, the study guide is a practical, soul-nourishing resource to help you parent with peace and purpose.
🧡 You don’t have to do this alone. Let’s flourish—together.
